Gwinnett County will receive Integrated Care

Gwinnett County will receive Integrated Care from
Four Corners Primary Care at View Point Health

August 6, 2012
LAWRENCEVILLE – View Point Health and Four Corners Primary Care will hold a Ribbon Cutting today to celebrate their integrated approach to Behavioral Health and Primary Care Services. Congressman Rob Woodall and other local dignitaries will attend the Ribbon Cutting, tour the new medical suite, and welcome the first patients for primary care services.

This is a collaborative effort to provide patient-centered holistic health care to Gwinnett County citizens. In the past citizens would make two appointments at different locations for their physical health and behavioral health needs. Now citizens can schedule primary care and behavioral health care appointments for the same day at one location. One of the benefits of co-location is the ability for the physicians and psychiatrists to coordinate care, and ensure that complementary treatments are provided.

View Point Health, formerly called GRN Community Service Board, is the community’s public provider of psychiatric treatment, mental health and substance abuse counseling services for citizens most in need. Four Corners Primary Care is a federally qualified health center (FQHC) that will provide family medicine and women’s care.

Dr. Brian Williams, CEO of Four Corners Primary Care, and Frank Berry, CEO of View Point Health, decided to partner so the two organizations can provide holistic care that helps citizens improve their overall health. Dr. Brian Williams said, “The goal of this collaboration is to provide access to quality behavioral and primary care for residents of Gwinnett County.”

“This is a great opportunity for the residents of Gwinnett County,” said David Crews, View Point Health COO.  “I’m pleased that residents will now have access to integrated care so they can live healthier lives.” Residents can call 678-209-2459 to get more information about primary care or to schedule behavioral health and primary care appointments. Four Corners Primary Care provides services on a sliding scale for uninsured citizens, and accepts Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, cash, debit cards, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover Card .
