View Point Health Receives Supplemental Support Funds for FY 2015

Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) has awarded View Point Health’s Youth Services Integrated Care team a $117,000 System of Care grant. Youth Services will use these funds to build on the Integrated Outpatient model by expanding the Telepsychiatry program, and providing the primary coordination for Children in Need of Services (CHINS) program at the Gwinnett Juvenile Court. The CHINS program is one article of the new Juvenile Justice reform law. The school-based Telepsychiatry will be at Gwinnett’s Georgia Network for Educational & Therapeutic Supports (GNETS) secondary school. This will give streamlined access to psychiatric services for families; allowing better collaboration between school counselors, teachers, VPH staff and the family.
